Place the stem cuttings about two feet deep into a container filled with garden soil. Maintain the plant in shady to somewhat sunny conditions until new branches emerge from the buds, at which point you may transfer the developing cuttings into full sunlight. After being planted in soil, your roses may not produce their first bloom for around six months.
